Write an original story ending with "I regretted every moment of it"I wrote this for my assignment. Actually this is not real lor. Must drama-drama a little bit. Hahaha! “Don’t worry Grandma, you’ll be fine soon,” I kissed her forehead. She was so weak. She changed tremendously. She was not as fit like before. I could see nothing fleshy but just bones. She was not my grandma that I’ve known. She put a smile on her pale face. I wiped her tears and she started to hold my hand tightly, not wanting to let it go. As I left the place, I tried to hold back my tears. I started to reminiscence about what I’ve done to her. It was hurtful for her to accept that I was adrift. I could still picture the image of how I yelled and scolded her. I lied to her umpteen times. She was too nice that I took advantage of her. I remembered coming back home early in the morning nearly 6. I sneaked into my house while tip-toeing; making sure nobody was awake by my presence. I quickly went inside my room without locking the door. My grandmother was at the door behind me, calling me. “Where’d you go?” she asked calmly. “My friend had a chalet, since it was drawing near to 12, she asked to stay over there because it was very dark outside,” I replied. “It’s not nice for a young girl to sleepover and not coming back home. What would people say then?’’ she said. “Can you stop nagging? You’re so troublesome. Mama and Papa did not say anything yet you’re still nagging. I’m dead beat now. Please kindly get out from my sight,” I banged the door. How foolish I was. As days passed, she started to fall sick. I was not there to take care of her. I did not know why she was sick. She started to vomit blood. Her condition was so serious that my parents had to take her to the hospital to have her tested. The results came out and it showed that Grandma was at the second last stage of stomach cancer. I was taken aback from the results. She was bedridden and couldn’t even move. She was too feeble to fight her cancer. I spent time with her during her last few days. I was by her deathbed when she passed away. My family including my uncle’s was surrounding her. “Promise me, you will never get into trouble. Study hard and be a useful person. Be a filial child. I love you, my dear,” she whispered softly into my ears. She finally breathed her last. If only I could turn back time, I’d put her first in my life. It is too late now. I regretted every moment of it. |
